WTJX TV Channel 12, The Virgin Islands Public Television System, is committed to providing non-commercial educational, informational, and cultural programs for the people of the United States Virgin Islands. We recognize the power of visual stimulation and our potential to make a lasting long-term contribution to our community by broadcasting enriching and entertaining programs.
We strongly believe that effective use of public television will help to significantly reduce personal, social and economic harm on the Virgin Islands community and to increase an appreciation for the Arts.
WTJX, the Virgin Islands Public Television System, is a non-profit organization, currently celebrating 33 years of serving the Virgin Islands Community. Established on a foundation of hard work, persistence and vision, we have grown from makeshift facilities in an abandoned bar in St. Thomas to a state of the art transmitting station at Mountain Top, with studios and administrative offices at Haypiece Hill and a satellite station in Gallows Bay St. Croix. |
