WTJX-TV, represents the entire U.S. Virgin Islands with broadcast facilities on St. Thomas and St. Croix. For over two decades, WTJX-TV has been based solely in the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. On July 27th, 1995, WTJX-TV expanded its facilities to its sister island of St. Croix.
A brand new WTJX-TV studio facility was placed at Chandlers Wharf in Gallows Bay, east of Christiansted - ideal for direct transmission throughout the territory. Guests from St. Croix who are invited to appear on programs based on St. Thomas now have the convenience of participating via microwave.
WTJX-TV continues to provide programming designed to address issues of concern to the territory in general. With the advent of the St. Croix facility, issues of special interest to the St. Croix community are addressed through shows such as The Peoples's Pulse, The Teacher is In, and live special events.
