The individual would be responsible for, but not limited to the operation and set up of studio and remote production cameras, mixers, videotapes and digital editing and lighting equipment. Provides assistance in producing, directing and recording program elements. Performs audio recording sessions, edits, mixes effects, color correction, special effects and slide duplication. Provides technical input related to the procurement of equipment and supplies. Assists in providing technical assistance in the planning and operational functions of creative audiovisual productions.
Qualifications:
At the minimum an Associate’s degree in communications or a related field, Or High School diploma or the equivalent, with a vocational/technical specialization in videography or television production and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in videography, editing and lighting. Candidate must have a high level of creative and aesthetic judgment and be proficient in AVID and Final Cut.

Television Producer needed for Local Hispanic Show

Develops ideas, budgets, researches, design set, and formulates marketing and distribution strategies. Develop scripts, coordinate interviews and manages talent. Participates in the design of video graphics, titles, music, and creative look of shows, make editorial decisions regarding assembly of information, illustration, and content. Provide requisite reports and program evaluations, and other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Previous experience as a television Producer necessary. Must be bilingual (speak both English and Spanish fluently). Proof of competence should be evident in demo reel and writing example.

Qualifications: An Associates Degree in Journalism or Communications and three to five years of television production experience. In addition, the applicant must possess full knowledge of television programming concepts, principles and techniques and be proficient in AVID Editing software. Proof of competence should be evident in demo reel and writing example.

Position Opening: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Individual would be for, but not limited to the coordination of studio and remote television productions and all support areas within the Virgin Islands Public Television System. Individual would supervise production staff employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling daily work assignments. Devise, operate and supervise in-house production related occupational training programs. Assist the Production Manager in the preparation of reports, as required, covering the activities reflecting the equipment and personnel needs of the production division. Works with the Production Manager and producers in the planning, budgeting and staffing of locally produced programs.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, broadcast journalism or related field, with at least two (2) years of production supervisory experience or in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, at least five (5) years of production supervisory experience. A working knowledge in TV audio and videography principles and techniques. Skilled in computer based television-editing platforms, particularly AVID. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to foster a cooperative environment.

Perform cataloging, retrieving, tracking and distributing of digital/physical inventory. Coordinate the distribution of media content among internal and external clients; responsible for filling requests for media, and labels for field shoots, edits, studio records, etc. Maintain knowledge and information on current trends and changes in the industry. Assist with developing long-term conservation and preservation strategies for WTJX media library.
Qualifications:
Degree in Library Science or equivalent, certification/training in video preservation. Must have at least four years working in archives containing television, film or digital video media. High level of computer skills and experience with cataloging and/or archival description, original cataloging or description and knowledge of current audio visual cataloging standards.
